It all started when…

It was a great opportunity when a member of St. Mark's commissioned this three-panel series, now permanently displayed behind the pulpit! The client was looking for large, colorful pieces, which perfectly aligns with my artistic practice. I was given the themes—Annunciation, Crucifixion, and Ascension—but really got to explore them creatively. The process kicked off with a deep dive into research: the symbolism, theology, and how these subjects have been depicted throughout history. That foundation guided through preliminary sketches, then color and detailed graphite studies, model sessions, and finally bringing those paintings to life on canvas. Figuring out how to install them above the pulpit was quite the puzzle, but the church community came up with an amazing solution!
